The Ozark Police Department is staffed by well trained and highly qualified employees with a dedication to service. The department staffing consists of forty-five (45) Sworn Law Enforcement Officers.Additionally, the department is staffed with a support staff of Administrative Employees, Corrections Officers, School Crossing Guards, Code Enforcement Officers, and Animal Control Officers. The divisions that encompass law enforcement services are the Patrol Services Division, Criminal Investigative Division, and Narcotics Division.
Each Law Enforcement Officer in the State of Alabama is required to obtain 12 hours per year of continuing education annually to maintain certification as a Law Enforcement Officer.The Ozark Police Department has a full time Training Division which oversees all training aspects of the department. Officers employed by this agency obtain approximately 30 to 40 hours of continuing education and/or training hours per year.
